Celebrating 2025: Impact, Growth & Gratitude

Dear Healing You,

As 2025 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect and share some important milestones. It has been an incredible year for She Moves Forward, full of meaningful impact, collaboration, and growth — yet, also a year of personal reflection and processing grief.

In the midst of all the accomplishments, I’ve also had to navigate the loss of my high school best friend, Lieutenant Colonel Cheryl Sparks, and my oldest daughter’s biological dad, Isaac Stowers, just months apart over the summer. These losses reminded me of the importance of resilience, self-care, and the very mission of She Moves Forward: helping individuals heal, grow, and move forward in life.

🎤 Final Speaking Engagement of 2025

Tonight, I completed my final speaking engagement of the year at Growing in the Word Ministries’ Annual Christmas Celebration. It was a wonderful way to close the year, and my heart is full from inspiring others and seeing lives transformed.

Highlights & Achievements in 2025

  • Our first grief wellness retreat in partnership with Coburn Place (Manchester, TN), supporting women survivors of domestic violence.

  • New partnerships with Coburn Place, Thee Wellness Collective, City of Lawrence, Sunflowers Bundles of Joy, Pink 4-Ever, and Kroger.

  • Sponsors who made our events possible: Crew’s Carwash & Red Cross.

  • Existing collaborations sustained with New Covenant Church Indy and VIP Center for Business Women.

  • Completion of the BLL (Building Legacy Leaders) Cohort under Dr. Carolene Mays.

  • Creation of our first healthcare policy, The Stephen’s Law, currently being drafted into a bill.

  • Obtaining Life Insurance Agent licensure, expanding grief recovery and wellness coaching services to better support families.

  • Grief Workplace Coaching Certification, allowing us to add corporate grief and wellness support to our services.

Looking Ahead

After tomorrow’s Hot Chocolate Event, in partnership with the City of Lawrence Annual Winterfest, I’ll be taking the rest of the month to rest, recalibrate, and prepare for graduation from Indiana Wesleyan University with my Bachelor of Science in Communications (whoop, whoop! 🎓🙌🏾).

This will also be a time to reflect and intentionally plan for 2026, both personally and professionally. You may notice fewer posts during this time, but all is well — I’m simply refilling my cup and getting ready for the year ahead.

Thank You

To all my clients, partners, and supporters — thank you for helping make 2025 an incredible year of impact. Your trust, collaboration, and encouragement have made all the difference, and I look forward to all we will accomplish together in 2026.

🎄Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season!

✨ See you in January, Lord willing (and I believe He is as there is much more healing work & community impact to make!)

With gratitude,

Coach Jan
